For the next part of the presentation I will discuss rhythms of songs on a slightly longer time scale. These are rhythms generated by the collective chorusing of males in a population. In some species the rhythmic patterns of sound production are influenced by the rhythmic patterns (heard) from neighbors. These rhythms are the result of competitive interactions among the males advertising for mates.
