Duties
As Associate University
Librarian for Public Services at UNC Asheville's
Ramsey
Library, I provide leadership in planning and
management of all library public service functions,
including circulation, research services, web
services, space planning, course reserves, document
delivery, interlibrary loan, stacks maintenance,
information literacy instruction, special
collections, and digitization initiatives; supervise
a team of 12 (6 professional librarians and 6 staff)
comprising the public services unit; provide
instruction and research desk assistance to students
and other library users in accessing information
effectively; serve as departmental liaison and
bibliographer for humanities, mass communication,
music, and religious studies; and participate in the
overall administration of the Library.
