Since the minor requires at least
2 upper-level courses outside of one's major, psychology students will have to take at least two upper-level
courses in either biology, chemistry or mathematics (Note: no courses from
math are currently available to fulfill the upper-level requirements of the minor). Many courses in
these areas have one or more pre-requisites that do not fulfill either the
Psychology major or Neuroscience minor. Therefore, it is vital that
psychology majors wishing to minor in neuroscience plan their course trajectory
early.
The following is a suggested
course sequence for psychology majors to complete the Neuroscience minor (minor
courses in red). Other possible courses and/or sequences may also
fulfill both the major and minor; consult with your advisor or catalog for
remaining requirements for the biology major, and the director of the
Neuroscience program for further options for fulfilling the minor.
