The following is one possible
course sequence for a chemistry major with a biochemistry concentration to complete the Neuroscience minor (minor
approved courses in red). A chemistry major has the flexibility of
taking either the "molecular/cellular" (e.g., biology) or "systems" (e.g.,
psychology) tracks to fulfill upper-level requirements for the minor.
Since the current example is for a biochemistry concentration chemistry student,
the sequence below emphasizes the molecular/cellular track in
neuroscience study. Other possible courses and/or sequences may also
fulfill both the major and minor; consult with your advisor or catalog for
remaining requirements for the chemistry major, and the director of the Neuroscience
program for further options for fulfilling the minor.

1This
course fulfills the minimum 9 hrs at the 300-level or above
for the minor
and is useful for the biochemistry concentration.
However, other
courses may be used to fulfill this requirement for
the minor.
If a student is interested in the "systems" track of
the minor
(e.g., psychology), then Psyc 101 and 216 should be
taken sometime
during the freshman and sophomore years, with
electives of
Psyc 321 and/or Psyc 322 in later years.
