I received my PhD in experimental psychology in 2003 from the University of Wisconsin, where I studied the perception of auditory motion.  I then spent a few years as a post-doc in the Department of Neurosurgery at Madison researching the effects of attention on auditory cortical responses using intracranial recordings (ECoG).  Since arriving at UNCA, my teaching has focused on the relationship between brain and behavior.
