Fractal geometry and chaos theory are two active, visual, and exciting parts of contemporary mathematics. In this colloquium, we'll explore these topics on the computer, learn the history behind their origin, and delve into the mathematics behind them. Note that while this is contemporary mathematics, much of it is accessible with just a little algebraic background through the computational power of the computer.

This web page will serve as a repository of information for the course. When available, the syllabus, handouts and homeworks will be posted in PDF format here. Also, many of the lectures will involve presentations on the web which will be archived here.
