Mt. Mitchell

Mount Mitchell is the highest point in Eastern North America and is accessible via the Blue Ridge Parkway. Thus, a ride to the top is mandatory. This route starts at UNCA (elevation 2200 feet) and travels 37 miles to the top of Mount Mitchell (elevation 6700 feet). Of course, one usually returns for an extremely hard ride of over 70 miles.
