Bennett Gap

Dave and I decided to do a "little ride" one Wednesday after work. We started at the horse stables in the Pisgah district near Brevard, climbed up Clawhammer road (four miles of one of the steepest dirt roads around), and turned left at the top to do parts of Black Mountain, Buckwheat Knob, and Bennett Gap. These are all pretty tough and technical trails, but totally worth it. Bennett Gap provides the most spectacular view of the North face of Looking Glass Rock around. The overall ride was 12 miles in a little over 2 hours.
