In a meeting the schedule is not reached. Hire a facilitator to have a look at it. It only works if the host of the meeting really wants to allow the facilitation (it is a matter of power!).

I'm sure there must be other solutions! I think there is probably a pattern language for meetings -- this would definitely be something worthwhile. I have several ideas in my notes.
