There is a great deal of excellent music that falls within the public domain of copyright, and My Sheet Music! is dedicated to providing this music for free. Go to this site for classical music, hymns, children's music, Christmas music, lesson materials, and much more.

Music Theory Online
An refereed electronic journal devoted to music theory, Music Theory Online offers articles from current and past issues, as well as a search feature.

Music History
Go to this site for information on music history from the Medieval period to 20th Century. Each section offers short articles covering things like trends, techniques, and composers.

The Printable Staff Paper Page
Do you need some staff paper? The Printable Staff Paper Page has free staff paper to download and print in different formats.

Solomon's Music Theory & Composition Resources
Dr. Larry J. Solomon, who currently teaches at the University of Arizona, has put together this site pertaining to music theory and composition. You can view several articles by Dr. Solomon, download some sound files of his composing, and read his dissertation, "Symmetry as a Determinant of Musical Composition."
