The following links are some of the best web sites
I have found to be useful for brass players. If you have or know

Brass F/X
The home page of Brass F/X, a very fine chamber brass ensemble based in San Antonio, Texas. This well designed web site includes sound files, biographies of the musicians, a schedule, information on booking Brass F/X and their educational outreach mission.
Wes Funderburk Homepage
Funderbone.com is the official home page of trombonist and educator Wes Funderburk. He has made available some jazz trombone solo transcriptions he has done, public domain pieces for trombone solo and ensembles, sound files of his playing, and more.
Historic Brass Society
The Historic Brass Society is an international music organization concerned with the entire range of early brass music, from Ancient Antiquity and the Biblical period through to the 20th century. The history, music, literature and performance practice of early brass instruments such as natural trumpet, natural horn, early trombone, cornetto, serpent, keyed bugle, keyed trumpet, early valve horn, 19th century brass instruments are some of the main issues of concern to the HBS. Check out their site to learn more about them and their events.
Virtual Domicile of Jazz Trombonist Joe Jackson
This is the home page for trombonist, arranger, current leader of the U.S. Air Force's Airmen of Note, and all-around good guy, Joe Jackson. I had the good fortune to work with Joe on the Online Trombone Journal Forum for a few years and Joe continues to serve as an OTJF staff member. This well designed web site contains many insightful articles and rants by Joe, some excellent sound files of Joe's playing, and many photographs of Joe and other musicians.
Joe Alessi - Trombonist
Fans of the New York Philharmonic Orchestra have heard Joe Alessi's playing since 1985, when he was appointed the principle trombonist with the NYPO. His web site has recently been updated (March 1, 2005) with a new look and some new bells and whistles. You can learn more about Alessi's background, view some photographs, and hear some samples from Allessi's many CDs here.

The Online Trombone Journal, founded by Richard Human,
Jr., is arguably the best internet resource specifically related
to the trombone. This site includes over 150 articles, a section
Just For Beginners, a worldwide directory of trombonists,
links to other trombone related sites, a public forum, and
much more. This site is a must for brass players in general
and trombone players in particular.
The
International Trombone Association
This is the official site for the International Trombone Association.
You can learn more information about the ITA, join online, and view
photos of the International Trombone Festival.
The
Trombone Page
This site, maintained by Eric W. Nicklas, has an exhaustive list
of trombone and brass related links, including links to instrument
manufacturers, professional trombonist's home pages, university
trombone pages, and a bibliography of trombone texts and method
books.
Douglas
Yeo Trombone Web Site
Another must see web site for trombone players, especially bass
trombonists. Doug Yeo, bass trombonist with the Boston Symphony
Orchestra, has put together a well designed site with much useful
information on orchestral auditions, philosophy of music and life,
and playing the serpent. You can also learn more about Yeo's background
and view a discography of recordings Yeo has done.
Alto
Trombone Home Page
A very useful site devoted to the alto trombone. You can access
slide position charts, alto trombone equipment, literature, and
research abstracts here.
The
Trombonist Online
This is the official web site for the British Trombone
Society. Their site has information about the BTS, articles,
a gallery of sounds and images, and trombone related links.
Essays
on Trumpet/Brass Physics
A collection of essays on trumpet playing and the physics
of brass playing by Nick Drozdoff, former trumpet player with
Maynard Ferguson and now a high school physics teacher as
well as a professional freelance trumpet playing in the Chicago,
Illinois area. You can also link to MP3s of his trumpet playing.

Trumpet Herald
The Trumpet Herald is a good site to view advertisements
for trumpet related products, a public forum, a word wide
directory of trumpet players, personals, download sound MP3
files of trumpet playing, and view announcements for trumpet
related information.

This site is an excellent source of trumpet related articles,
reviews, interviews, links to trumpet related web sites, and much

Trumpet Guild Web Site
This is the official home page for the International
Trumpet Guild, a nonprofit organization, founded in 1974 to
promote communications among trumpet players around the world
and to improve the artistic level of performance, teaching,
and literature associated with the trumpet. Go to the ITG
site for information on joining, news and events, and trumpet
related resources.

R. Jones Trumpet Page
Jones has organized one of the most extensive list of online
resources available for the trumpet player. This site includes many
useful links for any brass musician as well.

A site devoted to the teaching of Dr. Donald S. Reinhardt.
Put together by former Reinhardt students David Sheetz and
Paul Garrett, you can use this site to find teachers who have
studied from Reinhardt, read articles written about Reinhardt's
embouchure teachings, and order "The Encyclopedia of
the Pivot System" and plastic transparent mouthpieces
here.
Embouchures.com
This site is a good resource for all brass players
having difficulties with chronic fatigue and pain in their
embouchures. It includes some images to help clarify certain
points, a FAQ, and embouchure tips for the young player.

The web site of brass teacher and trumpet player Dave Sheetz.
Sheetz, who is arguably more knowledgeable about the pedagogy
of his long time friend and teacher, Donald S. Reinhardt,
has put together a great site with articles about brass playing
and information about purchasing texts by Reinhardt as well
as transparent mouthpieces for embouchure study.
