Management 489: The Management Internship
Fast Facts:

*Mgmt 499 (Directed Research) is an alternative to Mgmt 489.
Overview of Management 489: The Management Internship
The Management Internship course (Mgmt 489) provides management seniors the opportunity to: (1) use their academic knowledge, (2) acquire additional relevant information, (3) apply the problem solving process, (4) interact with members of management of the host organization. An internship may be undertaken individually or by a team of two students.
Requirements to Enroll in Management 489:
Application to enroll in Mgmt 489 takes place the semester before the internship is to be performed. Successful application to enroll in Mgmt 489 requires the following: Returning a completed "Internship Application" form, a signed "Internship Responsibility Agreement" and a formal, one page "Project Proposal" to the Internship Director signed by the intern, the intern host and the intern faculty advisor. The due dates for the various documents will be set each semester by the Internship Director.
Failure to submit the signed, one page "Project Proposal" to the Internship Director by the deadline date each semester is grounds for denying admission to Management 489.
Workshops will be scheduled each semester that will provide an overview of the internship program, explain how to register and answer questions regarding how to find an appropriate internship.
