Chapter Presentations

Each group will focus on a specific chapter and prepare a presentation to the class covering the main points made by the authors.  Particular attention should be made to selecting material that is relevant to the college population.  You may choose to use power point or offer handouts but some visual element and some interactive element should be part of the group's presentation.  Each person in the group will contribute to the presentation hence it is the group, rather than the individual that receives credit for the whole.  That said, should you find yourself in a group in which you are individually doing the heavy lifting, I hope you will make that known to me. 

Your presentation will:

•   Describe the nature of the disorder physiologically
•   Highlight the history or issues of using biofeedback to treat the disorder
•   Discuss how cognitive, behavioral and physiological issues intertwine in diagnosis and treatment or training
•    Describe other methods (either adjunctive or alternative) for treating this issue
•    Describe the protocol(s) using biofeedback, why they work or don't
•    Describe your own experience with the treatment

Each group should consider how they will include visual aids and interactive experiences to enhance the presentation.

Each group should identify the learning objectives (by the end of this presentation you should know...) and write those out. 

A successful presentation will be worth 15 points.
